China’s magnesia prices up
China’s magnesia prices up on higher coal costs, tight environmental controls。
Export prices for China-origin caustic calcined magnesia and dead burned magnesia have increased because of higher production costs and a strict regime of environmental regulations.
Repeated rises in the cost of coal have been a major factor in raising China’s magnesia prices. Most producers in the country have raised their prices by more than 100 yuan ($15) per tonne for both caustic calcined magnesia (CCM) and dead burned magnesia (DBM).
